Privacy Policy
Effective Date: December 19, 2025
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how ScriptureDesk ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate ScriptureDesk.
This may include:
- account information (such as email address)
- user-created content that you intentionally store in the Service (such as notes and saved verses)
- minimal, non-identifying usage information (such as feature usage counts and coarse device type)
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- provide and maintain the Service
- authenticate users
- store your content
- improve the Service
- communicate with you about important updates
We do not sell your personal information.
3. User Content and Privacy
Your notes, reflections, and saved verses are private to your account.
ScriptureDesk is designed so that personal notes and reflections do not need to be accessed or reviewed in order to operate or improve the Service.
We do not read or analyze the contents of your notes or reflections for analytics, advertising, or profiling purposes.
Access to user content may occur only in rare circumstances, such as:
- to provide direct support when you explicitly request assistance, or
- when required by law
4. Cookies and Analytics
ScriptureDesk uses a small amount of first-party analytics to understand how features are used and to improve the Service.
These analytics are privacy-preserving by design and collect only high-level usage information (such as which features are used and how often).
We do not use advertising trackers, behavioral profiling, or third-party analytics services that track users across websites.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We may share limited information with trusted service providers (such as hosting or email services) strictly as necessary to operate ScriptureDesk.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You use the Service at your own risk.
7. Data Retention
Aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics may be retained for longer periods to help us understand long-term trends.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request account deletion, after which your data will be removed in accordance with applicable laws and technical limitations.
8. Children's Privacy
ScriptureDesk is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
